How it works
As most of my sessions are outdoors with natural light, the best time of day for the good light (and sometimes temperature in Santa Clarita, right?) are the late afternoons/early evenings. Early morning can be an option depending on time of year and your particular needs.
Typically my best availability is on the weekend, and I imagine for most families it's the same.
One exception is newborn portraits. Newborn sessions can happen any day of the week that is best for the family, and as these happen in the home, mid-morning is best for the light and usually the baby.
I know finding time in an already busy family schedule for an extra activity like family portraits can be challenging. And as I'm also a busy parent I am not currently relying on a booking calendar. Family Portrait Package
An opportunity to capture your family at this moment in your lives - the relationships of parent and child, siblings, and the personal characteristics of your family.
These typically take place in an outdoor setting.
(Up to 5 members. Additional large group portrait sessions available by request — submit inquiry below.)
Maternity Session
Our bodies change and so does our life. These portraits are a chance to mark the miraculous experience of growing new life. Depending on your vibe, maternity portraits can be simple and natural with a lifestyle vibe, or we can discus more fine art options as well.
Newborn session
Those early days can be an experience like no other. Settling in to having your life upended can feel like a lot, but in the grand scheme of life, those moments are fleeting. Lifestyle newborn portraits are your chance to capture all the little details you'll never want to forget.
Family Photojournalism Session
A more casual session than traditional portraits. In this session, I spend time with your family documenting the special daily moments. Typically this session would be in your home, but could be coordinated to include a family outing like a day at the beach or playtime in the park. This is a time to beautifully document the moments that make your family beautiful.

We shake hands, agree on details and do all our prep work so you can show up relaxed and ready for me to do my work.
